CrossFit, the scariest thing on the planet... If you listen to the internet. Well, we are here to let you know that in reality, CrossFit is a combination of several schools of fitness (power lifting, gymnastics, plyometrics, olympic weightlifting, etc.) brought to you in an hour long trainer lead class, to ensure that you get the most out of fitness. Rule number one: Mechanics and technique always, ALWAYS come before intensity! CrossFit is based on functional movements, so you are never doing anything unless it will benefit your health in every day life, whether that is playing with your kids, grandkids, or climbing Mt. Everest. There is always a trainer in class, and our job is to show you how to perform movements correctly and teach you the "how's" and "why's" in a group setting. This ensures community building, goals setting and reaching, and safety. After all, we're just here to be healthy and fit!
